Happy Birthday, India
The Indian nation grows older by another year today. Happy Independence day.
Let us all take a moment to reflect on what Independence means for us, and work on doing our bit towards being responsible citizens of this great nation of ours.
For once let’s stop cribbing about what is lacking with the system, and focus on fulfilling our duties towards the country. Let’s try to be vigilant, and not take anything lying down. Let’s not throw that candy wrapper out of the car window. Let’s not try to run down fellow drivers at traffic intersections. Let’s help people in distress.
To use that famous quote – “Ask not what the country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country”
Here’s a video i shot during the Incredible India event back in New York, a beautiful celebration of Indian culture.
Happy Birthday India!

Glad to see you these words….
. Qutub Minar, Jama Mazjid, Red Fort, Lotus Temple, Akshardham temple, Himanyun’s Tomb, Mughal Gardens…& am sure you will find more.
Our thinking matters and what makes a big difference is the belief that there is goodness and we all can do good.
So since you are in India now, when do we see the travelogy page getting updated??
Belated Happy Birthday..

@Kiran – Thanks!
@Kavi – Thanks! Yes the PM addressed the nation from the RedFort every year on my birthday
@Dinu – Good to see you havent forgotten me! Happy I-Day to you too
@Eenadu – Thanks!
@AmListening – I agree with you…its easy being negative, but we need to try to find some positives also. It helps ease the journey.
Talking of journeys…the travels havent started yet (been more of travails so far), but my camera’s been busy, and there’s going to be a lot of travelogy here in due course.
@Philip – That sums it up perfectly! Well put

PM’s art of Management has become a part and parcel of everyday life, be it at home, in the office or factory and in Government. In all organizations, where a group of human beings assemble for a common purpose irrespective of caste, creed, and religion, management principles come into play through the management of resources, finance and planning, priorities, policies and practice. Management is a systematic way of carrying out activities in any field of human effort. Management need to focus more on leadership skills, e.g., establishing vision and goals, communicating the vision and goals, and guiding others to accomplish them. It also assert that leadership must be more facilitative, participative and empowering in how visions and goals are established and carried out. Some people assert that this really isn’t a change in the management functions, rather it’s re-emphasizing certain aspects of management.
