    She has got herself a fake accent!!!! She sounds so so artificial! What is she thinking!

    hey she is an actress – in a new role, she is amreekan, so the accent. people, you don’t think saif ali khan really talks like his character in “omkara” and sanjay dutt like his in “munnabhai” off camera too! i say go mallika go! after seeing salman khan’s amru accent (he has not even stepped out of bandra!!) and quite a few other celebs (vijay mallya!), i say, hats off to mallika! she really is a method actress, no? and did she say “jay hore”?

    @Smitha – To give her credit, she is doing better than the skhores of immigrants and their very apparently fake accents ;)

    @Kavi – Yes, such a happy occasion!

    @ms – I lived in America for many years, and did quite well for myself with a neutral accent which i would say is much better than being so fake that you become the subject of jokes.

    know what you mean! after living away for almost 25 years, i still sound the same. when i meet my recently migrated relatives, with their newly acquired accents, i am amazed. takes them just one month. and the accent gets more noticeable when they talk to other indians!
