love ajay bhatt’s walk – displays great sangfroid! more ads like this, please. a face and a name to go with an achievement! we take every technological advance for granted, ignorant of the hardwork and time that goes into its creation.

Kavi – Please tell me you arent being sarcastic there!

@Sunny – Welcome to Amreekandesi! USB is indeed fascinating technology.

@ms – I think i read somewhere that the person in the ad isnt the real Ajay, but an actor.
Nevertheless, i think this is a brilliant ad. It is important for people to know more about the geniuses who invent the technology we all take for granted.

It’s one of the best ads I’ve seen in a long time. There’s a chinese version too!

When I saw this ad, I was really impressed on two levels. First, the fact that a geek is the one whose work makes people’s lives simple, and people such as him should be considered celebrities; and second, the pride in seeing an Indian as the head honcho of USB technology.
In a fairly recent movie called “Monsters vs Aliens”, Stephen Colbert plays the voice of the US president who sees earth under attack by aliens. He is sitting with his chief staff and here’s his first response line – “We need to get our most skilled technicians on this immediately. Get India on the phone!”
We were six Indians in the whole theater and boy there was cheering! :)

@RDB – You’re welcome! Even i was very impressed with this ad!

@Shivya – I couldnt agree more. Also see this very innovative piece of work!

@Kokonad – I remember that bit from Monsters vs Aliens, though i thought it was a bit tacky, like all those call center references!

I liked your blog and that’s why i added the link! Look forward to reading more of your posts, and welcome to Amreekandesi!
