Outsourcing Goes Reverse Gear

This made an interesting news report. The Indian government has placed an order of 12 AW01 helicopters that will be used for ferrying our VIPs, at a jaw dropping cost of EUR 560 million. By my calculation thats about Rs 4000 crore.

The huge order for VVIP helicopters from Agusta Westland could save upto 4,000 jobs in the company’s British manufacturing base [link]

In the backdrop of the US and UK making such a big issue of immigration leading to loss of jobs locally, it is rather fascinating to read that an Indian contract is going to save 4000 jobs in Britain.

Life sometimes does indeed come  a full circle.

    I am feeling proud.
Not because of the cost involved. But because of the fact that Rulers of the past are now being offered jobs. :-)
Seems like East India Company’s country is finally paying the price.
