No Foreign Dancers Please. We’re Indian
This man is fast becoming a legend.
Here’s rounding up this weekend’s Raj Thackeray double bill. This time he is taking on the conspiracy of the vile gori dancers out there to take away the rozi roti of the struggling Bollywood extra.
Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), a Mumbai nationalist street gang and political party which inspires terror throughout the city, has called on foreign white actresses to go home. [link]
You betcha! How dare they?
Raj is awesome. He seems to be the only leader in the country with a level head on his shoulders. After all, isn’t it time anyone gave a thought to welfare of the locals? We were all living happily, until one fine day some producer roped in some foreigner dancers for a song, and it just became a fad. What about all the struggling actors coming to Bombay (nee, Mumbai) via trains from far away states like UP and Bihar?
Justifiably, he has support from one of Bollywood’s top dancers.
Supported by one of Bollywood’s top dancers, Rakhi Sawant, who said: “Because of these foreigners, our Indian girls remain jobless. These white girls are like lollipops that only last for two days.”
Such pearls of wisdom from the woman who just had a joke of a swayamvar telecast on national television.
Leaders of the country awake. These foreigners are all going to take away all of our jobs. I personally know of WASP kids in Boston who go to sleep every night with a prayer on their lips to one day work in India, in all her grimy stinky messy glory.
India, the country those losers in the west dream of. May those dreams never come true.
Go Raj. You are our Savior.

well said, i appreciate the sentiments. first of all, indians be encouraged in every field and increase in job opportunities in india for indians will keep them engrossed in their work and will enhance their talent,otherwise-let all of us be ready to face the cosequences of-idle man’s brain is a devil workshop–money may remain in india but its price we should be able to visualise
I guess I wonder if it is fair that Western countries allow Indians to immigrate into their society, but westerners can’t immigrate to India.
Although there is another issue here that Raj Thackeray may have a legitimate point about. Why the attraction to WHITE dancers? Do you see many African (black) foreign dancers? No the attraction is to WHITE dancers.
Does that show a prejudice due to skin color? Do Indians believe that the ideal is to be as white in skin color as possible?
There’s two terms that kind of offends me as someone who would be considered a foreigner when visiting your country. Those terms are Goras and firangs. Especially firangs as it reminds me of those aliens on Star Trek the Next Generation.
As for the issue of foreign dancers in Bollywood movies and foreign cheerleaders at Cricket Games, I realize that it’s a complex issue where Raj Thackeray may have a point. If a foreigner wants to participate in such activity then she should be given a chance like everyone else, but most likely these women are sought out.
Given the effort that must be made to get these foreign women, recruitment in their country I assume, then the plane ticket and all the other arrangements that must be made for them to come and stay in India one must ask where’s the added value in that? For to go through such additional effort, there must be at least the perception that this effort provides something of additional value that wouldn’t be provided by going the seemingly easier route of just recruiting domestic talent.
And I honestly can’t think of what that additional value would be except for one thing that foreign dancers have that Indian dancers don’t. Now I could be totally mistaken here but the only difference I can see is the colour of their skin.
Perhaps this isn’t the reason such dancers are sought out, but I just can’t think of anything else they provide that Indian dancers don’t.
Surely it would be wrong to discriminate against a Bollywood dancer because she is white. But how many white dancers come to India to fulfill their life long dream of becoming a Bollywood dancer? No I assume they were recruited from their home nation.
Now if the movie was filmed outside of India then it might make sense to use foreign dancers, but other than that, then yeah one would have to wonder about the motivation behind importing dancers.
They live true to their name. The THUGGERAYS
Then why these indian dancers go to foreign for stage shows. Its only talent and the wish of people which we see in these days on media.

anyway, this just highlights the gr8 Indian prejudice. We want to be treated as equals but will behave in most racist way when it comes to foreigners in India. It’s not just these dancers, I have heard of Black dancers being stopped from cheerleading in IPL last year.
recently, a village in maharashtra had a russian dancer as a lead performer for “lavni”. to revive the dance form and attract large crowds of “women and children”. only saw drooling men.

its not abt black or white its not abt indian or foriegn its not abt value added or less pay its all politics how can u say u dont want foriengn dancer when we indian illegally go to US n make our livings estimates say that 16millon indian are in US compared to 14000 US in india just look at figures just bby throwing out100-120 foriegn dancers wont give back “indian ” dancers a more chances ppl will still strive for work if u (raj thakkrey) want to change then change system where work is given on talent n hardwork not on references u have a spark in you use it in right way i bet by 2020 u can run the country or else u will just gain a steet name or if more a memorial built after u dats all
