Pakistan To Get New Currency Symbol

July 17, 2010
By

India’s shine has suddenly got cherry blossomed. India is double shining. Yes, the Rupee finally has its own symbol.

With this, India becomes only the fifth nation in the world to have a unique symbol for its currency. Nothing can stop us from being a world superpower now.

Meanwhile, we hear from a bird that Pakistan is planning to unveil its own symbol as well. Finalizing the design proved slightly tricky for them since China doesnt have a symbol for the Yuan yet, but in the end hard work and originality prevailed.

Here’s a sneak peek at the proposed symbol for the Pakistani Rupee. The symbol captures a P (for Pakistan), a R (for Rupee), and the green color represents Islam.

There are already whispers in Pakistani corridors that India copied the design proposed for the Pakistani currency. ISI is suspecting Madhuri Gupta of being a double agent who passed on the design to Indian authorities.

They are saying Rupaye mein kuchh kaala hai. We are not so sure; we just see someone going green with envy.

Maybe we should just let the money do the talking!

[BTW believe all this at your own peril. Birds aren’t really famous for being very reliable]

You are really pulling the Paki leg, aren’t you but I like such leg pulling and they deserve it.?My only worry is Quershi may over react and use foul language.
What if they really adopt such a symbol?

I think Pakistan wouldn’t have the horizontal bar on top (that would probably be sacrilege and maybe they would have to punish the blaspheming designer). They might use a couple of dots borrowed from Urdu.

Maybe Pakistan should stop calling their currency the Rupee and call it the Dinar instead so they’re more identifiable. The Rupee is a Sanskrit-derived term, it might interest Pakistanis to know.

And while they’re at it, they might set the exchange rate for the Dinar at 1 New Pak Dinar = 100 old Pak Rupees. That way, the US Dollar will be 1.25 New Pak Dinars. And prices in Dinars will get more in line with US prices..

Something for them to mull over.

“””The Rupee is a Sanskrit-derived term, it might interest Pakistanis to know.”””

The term Rupiya is a Sanskrit derived term which means “wrought silver.” The term “Rupee” was coined by Sher Shah Suri (Sher Khan) in the 14th century. It was the first time the Rupee was established as fully circulating currency. I’m guessing that’s why the Pakistanis keep it around, but your guesses are as good as mine.

The term Rupiya is a Sanskrit derived term which means “wrought silver.” The term “Rupee” was coined by Sher Shah Suri (Sher Khan) in the 14th century. It was the first time the Rupee was established as fully circulating currency and you do know that it was a Muslim Empire created by a Muslim Leader so actually you guys copied the word Rupee not Pakistan. We in Pakistan are peaceful people that is whay we at war with terrorists in which thousands of innocent women, children and men have given their lives for the stability and peace of not only the region that we call South Asia but also the world. We also want peace with every nation including especially India due to thousands of years of history together in order to move towards harmony, a free market, better health, education as well as better prospects for all. If you guys haven’t noticed but Pakistan, India and China if united can be the biggest economy in the world. Not only that the largest military power as well as the Block or union with the largest population as well as land mass. We could dominate the US, European Union, Russia as well as the African Union and the South American Union if we are united and learn to live in peace. But what i have read, it is painful and truly hurts for my aspirations for a better future of South Asia because you people neither care for the sacrifices we make each day in Pakistan against terrorism nor do you want peace or better prospects for this region of the world as you are too busy mocking us for no reason whatsoever. I do hope that Indians (few) who hate Pakistan for no other reason but what the media has fed to them will one day see the truth and care for harmony as we do in Pakistan. And if not so then you will not only destroy yourselves, this region as well as the future of your children as the world progresses with formations of unions all across the globe while we mock each other and destroy ourselves for petty ideas and wrong aspirations to begin with. Please I urge you love and not hate. PLEASE. STOP IT !!! BAS KAR DO BAS !!!

  14. Asif on February 18, 2011 at 11:40 pm

    Hahaha!
This show u Indian the how much u hate us…..I will just laugh on it…U have so much extra time to discuss these aukward things….Even if its Plague in ur country.. u people blame Pakistan and ISI that rats wre sent by ISI…hahaha…..Your government is making fool to u all Indian by creating Pakistan Hysteria…I bet that we in Pakistan dnt hate Indians so much..How u people hate us…U r 4 times bigger than us but still we are competing with country like u…I appreciate development done by India is last 5 years..But u have much more to done Yar..its fact that U need 10 years to come on track and we need just 3 year to come on track..

    • Lioness on March 31, 2011 at 2:41 pm

Asif…and you are the self-proclaimed custodian of society crying foul from Pakistan?
3 years….i’m laffin my guts off!
Big brother is watching so you better behave than commenting on how many years we need to get back to track. Who’s mind is poisoned anyways?

    • lioness is a slag on April 2, 2011 at 2:51 am

lioness is a fucking bitch. go get gang banged u ugly mother fucking whore and worship your fake gods fucking indian slut.

    • artem on December 3, 2012 at 1:45 am

Asif, get real, pakistan will not exist in 3 years. It is in the top 10 failed states (not failing but FAILED). Top exporter of terrorism, international migraine. Even muslim countries will not issue visas to pakistanis, that is your reputation. You forget about competing with equalling India. These are pipe dreams. You concentrate on saving your arse when your nation crashes down around you. forget scouring for data about India on the net. Think how you will feed yourself your family protect your mother, wife daughter sister when pakistan collapses and those taliban you have nurtured come to satisfy their lust on your female relatives and fuck your mother, wife daughter sister mother in all their holes. The requim for pakistan has been sung. only the carcass has to be consigned to the garbage heap of history.

you indian are ten time biggers than us you have every thing in the begning. PAKISTAN was a new born child with a lots of enimies like you. we proud of our country that your people still comparing their self with that child who was born 65 years ago and whos enemies sad we will never let him breath more than three months.we are still on hte ground and living a better life hundred time better than our enimies. Pakistan is my country i’m proud to Pakistani.

  16. Sam on April 14, 2014 at 10:39 am

I seriously question myself……… when will India learn to stop copying West and blaming Pakistan…. and when will India learn to concentrate on becoming a good democracy rather than trying to become a South Asian tiger………….. I really feel pity on this non-realistic and childish approach of India
