Priyanka Gandhi Talks To Barkha Dutt
Just came across this video of Priyanka Gandhi in conversation with our beloved Barkha Dutt.
The full interview on NDTV’s site is 25 minutes long, but an interesting watch. Priyanka comes across as a very smart and logical woman. She reiterates that she is never going to enter politics, and somehow we are reminded of her mother, the current head of Congress.
I know i am good (at politics). I am not a fool. But does that mean i want to be in politics? No.
She talks about her mother, her father, the Tamil movement, and of course her little brother Rahul.
The most memorable moment of the interview – Barkha asks Priyanka at the end if she can still read Hindi, and is quite amused with the affirmative answer! Her friends apparently ask Barkha why/how Priyanka Gandhi is so proficient at Hindi.
Go Barkha! You are the Best!

Nice. I’m glad she’s so clear about where she stands; good for her! She exudes her Ajji’s poise, but without being as intimidating

Sure. I am a huge Barkha fan. Hugest! She is the most responsible journalist ever.
@Gauri – I too liked her clarity of thought, though i am not convinced about her aspirations. I would not be surprised if she becomes the next big leader of the Congress. Her mom went through a similar path before she became the most influential woman in India.

You would have noticed how genteel ‘Barkha’ was
. In fact Barkha Didi, Raju (rajdeep sardesai) Bhaiya, Vinod- super secular- Dua and of course our editor of SpinIndia Express all owe their Padma Shris and Bhushans to the ‘Her Majesty’ Ma balidaan moorti Smt. Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi.
Rahul and Priyanka are her majesty’s own children, you bet should the cat and dogs of her majesty choose to speak…they too would be shown at prime time slot on their 24X7 channels and big adoring editorials
After all ‘Namak Halali’ be koi cheez hai ki nahin!

@AD: You’re right. Though I can’t help but wonder if Rajeev Gandhi’s death had anything to do with the change in Sonia’s mind. Else things could have been different.

Lovely interview. Two smart and intelligent women. Priyanka is obviously very bright and a good woman. The only thing that distracted me was that little something sticking out of Barkha Dutts hair at her neck. I thought she was having a bad hair day. But then I realised it must be Priyanka’s toe. Barkha was sucking it so hard that it must have stuck down her throat. I do not think I ever watched anyone suck on some’s toes so hard. Keep it up Barkha. You do this well, Bharat Ratna could be next for you.
